O sanctaidd Fam!
Paham na'th garwn di,
A garai'r Dwyfol Fab, ein Harglwydd ni?
Datganwn ni dy fawl â llawen lef,
Fendigaid Forwyn,
Fam Tywysog nef.
A ni yn rhwymau pechod oll yn gaeth,
Dy Fab i wisgo'n cnawd o'r nef a ddaeth,
I'n hachub o
gaethiwed pechod cas
Trwy rin ei Aberth
drud a'i ryfedd ras.
Ti a etholwyd ganddo, Wyry fwyn,
I'w eni'n berffaith Ddyn,
an cnawd i'w ddwyn;
Gan ddioddef angau er ein mwyn bob un,
A thrwyddo ein rhyddhau
â'i Waed ei hun.
Yn Faban bach gorffwysai ar dy fron,
Ac arnat ti disgleiriai'i lygaid llon;
Dy weini mwyn roes iddo felys hun -
Ymgnawdoledig Dduw a Mab y Dyn.
O Ddwyfol ras ei ddarostyngiad ef,
I wisgo cnawd, a gado llys y nef!
Pa wynfyd, sanctaidd Fair,
a ddaeth i ti,
Pan ddaethost gynt
yn Fam ein Harglwydd ni!
Llawenydd uwch llawenydd bod yn Fam
Iôr nef a daear,
Iesu'r Oen di-nam!
A'th hynod fuchedd sanctaidd,
er dy glwy',
Yn eiddo iddo ef byth bythoedd mwy!
O Grist, wir Fab y Wyry lân, nyni
Dy fawl ddyrchafwn, ac addolwn di,
Sy'n un â Duw y Tad
a'r Ysbryd Glân
Mewn undod perffaith
Trindod ddiwahân.

Tonau 10.10.10.10]: |
O sacred Mother,
why would we not love thee,
Who loved the divine Son, our Lord?
We declare thy praise with a joyful cry,
Blessed Virgin,
Mother of the Prince of heaven.
And we in the bonds of sin all captive,
Thy Son to wear our flesh from heaven came,
To save us from the
captivity of hated sin
Through the merit of his costly
sacrifice and his wonderful grace.
Thou wast chosen by him, gentle Virgin,
For him to be born him as a perfect Man,
and to bear our flesh;
Suffering death for our sake every one,
And through it to free us
with his own blood.
As a little Child he lay at thy breast,
And upon thee his cheerful eyes shone;
Thy gentle service gave him sweet sleep -
Incarnate God and Son of Man.
From divine grace he humbled himself,
To wear flesh, and leave heaven's court!
What blessedness, sacred Mary,
came to thee,
When thou becamest once
the Mother of our Lord!
Joy above joy to be the Mother
Of the Lord of heaven and earth,
Jesus the innocent Lamb!
With thy notable sacred manner of life,
despite thy wound,
Belonging to him forever and evermore!
O Christ, true Son of the holy Virgin, we
Raise thy praise, and worship thee,
Who art one with the Father
and the Holy Spirit
In the perfect unity
of an undivided Trinity.

Shall we not love thee,
mother dear,
Whom Jesus loves so well?
And, to his glory,
year by year,
Thy joy and honour tell?
Bound with the curse of sin and shame
We helpless sinners lay,
until in tender love
he came
To bear the
curse away.
And thee he chose from whom to take
True flesh his
flesh to be;
In it to suffer
for our sake,
By it to make us free.
Thy Babe he lay upon thy breast,
To thee he cried for food;
Thy gentle nursing soothed to rest
Th'Incarnate Son of God.
O wondrous depth of love divine,
That he should bend so low!
And, Mary, oh,
what joy was thine
In his dear
love to know;
Joy to be mother of the Lord,
And thine the
truer bliss,
In every thought,
and deed, and word
To be for ever his.
Jesu, the virgin's holy Son,
We praise thee and adore,
Who art with
God the Father One
And Spirit
evermore.
